Kai Po Che!

These were exciting times; a new millennium had dawned, a perfect time for three Gujarati boys to start a business that could be their ticket to fame in a country where cricket is akin to religion. But their bromance is tested during the devastating earthquake in Gujarat in 2001, followed by the communal riots in 2002.

This was Sushant’s first film. Hidden Gems Film Festival screened this film as a tribute to him as he died at the age of 34.

Viewers may be interested in Louis B. Hobson’s comments (16 minutes 23 seconds) as he explains the significance of this film. Louis has been a movie-critic for nearly 50 years and is the resident critic for Hidden Gems. For non-Indians, it explains the film.
