Inspired by the Cheung Chau Bun Festival, our event will feature a 15-foot-tall Bun Tower 🏰, over 600 Ping An Buns 🍞, and live cultural performances, including a Dragon’s Beard Candy demonstration 🍬. The parade (2:30pm – 3:30pm)will be a key part of the celebration, bringing together different communities to share and promote cultural appreciation in Calgary.

The Bun Festival itself is a vibrant celebration deeply rooted in Taoist traditions, featuring a towering 16-foot Bun Mountain built from real buns, which are later distributed to the elderly on May 18. These buns are believed to bring good luck, peace, and safety.
