Eating Bitterness – Canadian Journey of Exclusion to Inclusion (Calgary)
Asian Heritage Month is an opportunity to learn, reflect, and engage in honest conversations about the histories that shaped our communities and country.
This May, the ACCT Foundation invites you to visit Eating Bitterness: The Canadian Journey from Exclusion to Inclusion at the Calgary Central Public Library. Featuring a timeline presentation from the larger exhibition, this installation offers a powerful opportunity to engage with the experiences, resilience, activism, and contributions of Chinese Canadians throughout history.
Through stories of exclusion and belonging, the exhibit encourages reflection, learning, and open conversations about the past — and how it continues to shape our communities today. We invite you to explore, ask questions, and take part in meaningful dialogue as we continue learning together.
