Asian Canadian Journeys: Identity, Belonging, and Everyday Integration
Virtual Panel on Teams
May 15 (12:00 -1:30pm MDT)
May is Asian Heritage Month, a time to reflect on identity, sense of belonging, and what it means to build a life across diverse cultures and settings. This year, we are hosting a panel discussion that brings together Canadians of Asian descent to share their personal journeys of integrating into Canadian society. Through their stories, we will explore how identity is shaped over time, how belonging is felt in different spaces, and how integration is lived in both quiet and visible ways. These conversations will not offer one single narrative, but rather open up space for the many ways Asian Canadians carry, negotiate, and express who they are. Whether through language, community, work, or home, these reflections remind us that identity and belonging are not fixed. They grow, shift, and take form in relationship with others. This panel is an invitation to listen, to reflect, and to sit with the complexity of what it means to find connection and place in a country that is still learning how to hold all of our stories.
