Celebrate Asian Heritage Month 2026 in Saint John with a vibrant series of free, community-wide events that honour the rich cultures, traditions, and contributions of Asian communities. Presented by the Asian Heritage Society of New Brunswick – Saint John Chapter, this month-long celebration brings together art, food, performance, sport, and meaningful dialogue.

From late April through May, residents and visitors can explore Asian art exhibitions, participate in hands-on workshops, enjoy live performances, and connect through community gatherings across the city.

Event highlights include:

  • 🎨 Asian Art Exhibitions at Saint John Public Library and Kennebecasis Valley Library, showcasing diverse artistic traditions
  • 🏸 A Badminton Tournament at YMCA Irving Oil Field House
  • 🎭 The Opening Ceremony at Kent Theatre, celebrating culture through performance
  • 🍜 An Asian Culinary Workshop at Nela’s Kitchen
  • ✨ A festive Asian Heritage Month Gala at Samuel de Champlain Theatre
  • 🗣️ An important Anti-Racism Forum hosted by PRUDE Inc.
